HYNIÜ
PRODUCT DESIGN
OVERVIEW —
Asthma affects millions of children worldwide, yet many current solutions fail to address core challenges faced by young users. The design gap in inhalation devices often leads to improper medication delivery, ineffective asthma management, and difficulty in usage, particularly for children. My design focuses on bridging this gap with a user-centric, technologically advanced approach that offers improved efficacy and ease of use.
SOLUTION —
HYNIÜ is a smart asthma management system that tracks and records the user's respiratory health and medication use. It is the complete redesign of existing asthma inhalers coupled with a wearable health patch that tracks respiratory health and asthma triggers. The rounder shape of the pump is easy to hold and carry, suitable for children to press the container and release the medication.

Hyniü consists of a Bluetooth-enabled smart inhaler, wearable wellness device and charging station that communicates wirelessly with an app. The LED matrix shines through the smart pump relaying information and interactive medium to connect emotionally with the child.

The adhesive patch sits on the skin similar to a stethoscope and monitors changes in the upper respiratory tract. The wearable patch device provides live haptic feedback and suggestions to help the user stick to their personal asthma plan and help parents monitor their kid's symptoms through the app.
